OnePlus x Phillip Colbert

Recently, I had the privilege of photographing & directing OnePlus's latest campaign, featuring the iconic artist Phillip Colbert, working alongside Foi (Focus on infinity) The project aimed to infuse new life into the classic legacy of Michelangelo, an ambitious endeavour made possible by the empowering spirit of the OnePlus Open.

Empowered by this platform, Colbert took on the task of reimagining the Manchester Madonna, seamlessly blending the brilliance of the past with the innovation of the future. The result is a captivating fusion of art and technology, where OnePlus devices become the canvas for Colbert's modern interpretation of Michelangelo's timeless masterpiece.

Here's a sneak peak into a shoot with my running crew OAD "OUT AFTER DARK"


OAD is an audacious running experiment. It's a constantly evolving mechanism for us to build by challenging what is normal and attempting to reimagine exactly what a running club could be. It's a creative platform. It allows people to contribute and collaborate sincerely. ATTAIN embodies this completely. They have shown how we can reimagine things. They have shown that the reward is the effort itself. And the outcome is happiness, care and support. Much like a running club. It's organic how it all comes together. To us ATTAIN represents and understanding between people wearing their hats.

Over the coming months I will expand this series into a larger project.

Cape Town Portraits

Spending some time in Cape Town after a commissioned shoot, I asked the CD about upcoming projects. He explained that he was working on a campaign to work with real drug users to communicate the importance of carrying life-saving anti-opioid overdose medication. A local guide explained that he knew some locations around the townships of Cape Town that face challenges with drug-use, and proposed visiting the area to photograph the people and share information about this medicine.

Recognising the sensitivity of the situation but understanding the importance of such a project, myself, a producer, local guides and security planned how we could carry out the project safely. Together, we drove into one of the townships in the evening and photographed the people there.

I emphasised the importance of working with the community to create the photographs, ensuring the people felt respected.

Really excited to share my latest work with Greggs commissioned by Drummond Central, The agency invited me in at an early stage and working closely with Nichola Elgie & Kev Hughes we were able to help develop authentic and believable scenarios which would lead to much more believable and credible images, using real friends and couples in places they like to go. Greggs has never been something you have to schedule in or book a table for, it’s always been food that fits in with how people live. Available everywhere, enjoyed anywhere. Bruynzeel Kitchen

Working in and around a TV shoot is always a challenge. Using the same lighting set up for film, shooting stills with models that have already been on-set for hours and keeping out of the way of a large, busy crew can make it harder to deliver the level of work you want to. The additional social distancing requirements didn’t help either.

But despite all this, I was more than pleased with the results of my recent two day shoot for Bruynzeel (Brown-sail) Kitchens in Amsterdam. It was hectic, full-on but fun and a good collaborative atmosphere. A mix of product stills, lifestyle and food, all captured in-camera (complementing the TV commercial) will be utilised across print, digital and in-store.
